Flight 1 (1 note)

White
1992 Coche-Dury Meursault France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Meursault
90 points
rich and lovely nose of hazelnut and sweet minerals. a little thin and short on the palate but still a stand out for villages level.

Flight 2 (2 notes)

Red
1990 Château Cheval Blanc France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
97 points
somewhat reticent to start off with, but came to life after an hour in decanter. plump and silky, with coffee and mocha. very feminine, esp when paired with the 90 montrose.
Red
1990 Château Montrose France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Estèphe
97 points
a real power house tonight. quite different to last bottle. crying out to be decanted. got better after an hour in decanter. easily another 50 years.

Flight 3 (1 note)

Red
1993 Bernard Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
93 points
deep, rich and complex. took a while to get going. but once it did, really enjoyable. intense with powerful tannins. opposite spectrum to the vosne burgs.
