Flight 1 (4 notes)

Rosé
2011 Adelsheim Pinot Noir Rosé USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
90 points
A perfect summer wine. Completely dry with bright, crisp strawberry and citrus.
White
2007 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
88 points
This bottle was abit flat compared to previous bottles, still quite nice, just not as good as usual.
White
2009 Sea Smoke Chardonnay USA, California, Central Coast, Sta. Rita Hills
89 points
Red
2004 La Rioja Alta Rioja Viña Ardanza Reserva Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja
89 points
Med to full bodied with dark and stewed fruit, Cocoa, licorice, leather and some green, brushy notes with a nice acidic spine. A very nice bottle of wine.

Flight 2 (2 notes)

Red
1996 Penfolds Grange Australia, South Australia
95 points
A big, bold beautiful Grange bursting with rich black and blue fruit with so much depth and nuance that it seems too large a task to try and name all the components. Drinking well today with some firm tannins on the finish, but needed every minute of a 3 hour double decant and continued to improve for the several hours after that it took us to finish it.

Red
1998 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
flawed
This bottle was abit off, though still drinkable. The pretty red fruit, garrigue and tapenade undertones were still present, but muted by the slight oxidized notes that permeated throughout.

Flight 3 (2 notes)

Red
2002 Domaine Bertagna Clos Vougeot France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru
92 points
Deep, rich red and dark fruit with earth and cocoa undertones. Quite nice.
Red
2008 Archery Summit Pinot Noir Premier Cuvée USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
90 points
