White
2006 Weingut Heymann-Löwenstein Winninger Uhlen Riesling "R" Roth Lay
94 points
Substantial colour, wonderful depth and finesse, fruit and slate, very clean, slightly salty, still a bit yeasty, very expressive of its terroir and its producer.
White
1992 Markus Molitor Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese trocken
93 points
Half bottle. Intense colour but very youthful appearance; on the nose comes across as taut, severe almost, with marked minerality and firm acidity; on the palate well-balanced, good fruit, sufficiently juicy, petrol in check; good length. Now - 2020.
Red
2005 Markus Molitor Brauneberger Klostergarten Spätburgunder trocken ***
93 points
Opens up quickly, good depth, bacon and blackberry, very elegant oak with hints of vanilla and cocoa, slate; silky, ripe and rounded with elegant but slightly marked acidity, intense but light on its feet, ripe tannins; excellent length. Carries a hefty price tag but (almost) lives up to it. Comes close to top-notch Ahr.
White - Sweet/Dessert
2001 Tokaj Classic Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos
90 points
Oxidative style, quite the opposite of e.g. Disznókö, figs and nuts, relatively soft style, juicy, perfect with a chocolate dessert.
