Bobs annual wine weekend

New Haven and Guilford

Introduction

Another great weekend organized by Bob and JIm and Clive. 25 each of Les Amoureuses and Clos St Jacques going back as far as 1962. Rousseau rules and so doe sRoumier but Mugnier showed nicely. As usual Drouhin is consistently very good, but not quite great. The 1999 flights were amazing, proving you cannot overbuy 1999.

Flight 1 (1 note)

Red
2005 Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos St. Jacques Domaine Louis Jadot France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
94 points
Really too early to judge the 2005s as they are all closed and will all be great wines. Hold until 2020.

Great approach, dark, intense and full, but has a short finish now.
