White
2010 La Pousse d'Or Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Le Cailleret France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Oak initially prominent. Simple. Good acidity. Orchard fruits and nutty notes. Good finish.

Flight 2 (2 notes)

Red
2011 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Clos d'Audignac France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru
Mint, herbal and a touch of green pepper. Simple. Flattens out on palate. Not my favorite.
Red
2011 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Clos des 60 Ouvrées France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru
Consistently one of my favorite wines from this producer, and it did not disappoint. Floral, subtle fruit. Light and delicate nose but really complex. Concentrated, complex on the palate. Bursting acidity and nice finish.

Flight 3 (2 notes)

Red
2010 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Clos de la Bousse d'Or France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru
Classic Bousse. Subtle nose. Bright red fruits. Tart, bright fruits. Cherry, raspberry. Good complexity.
Red
2011 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Clos de la Bousse d'Or France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru
Darker fruit than the 2010. Plus, fruit forward. More approachable than the 2010 on this night. Perhaps rest the 2010s and drink these sooner?

Flight 4 (2 notes)

Red
2011 La Pousse d'Or Corton-Clos du Roi France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
Sturdy and well structured. Black fruits on the nose. Dark spices. Terrific concentrated core leading to a long finish. Very solid.
Red
2010 La Pousse d'Or Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Groseilles France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Rustic. Touch green. Bramble, acidity. Bright fruits and menthol. Not bad. Definitely the most rustic of the offerings on this night.

Flight 5 (2 notes)

Red
2011 La Pousse d'Or Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Good quality here. Chambolle character. Darker fruit core of red and blue fruits. Big fruit nose. Acidity and good concentration. Solid.
Red
2011 La Pousse d'Or Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
As with this producer's other Chambolles, these parcels are relatively new to the line-up. A lot of menthol here. Minerality dominates. Good acidity.
