Oak initially prominent. Simple. Good acidity. Orchard fruits and nutty notes. Good finish.

2011 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Les Caillerets
Cooler red fruit. Touch menthol. Nice core of fruit. Lighter color.

Mint, herbal and a touch of green pepper. Simple. Flattens out on palate. Not my favorite.

2011 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Clos des 60 Ouvrées
Consistently one of my favorite wines from this producer, and it did not disappoint. Floral, subtle fruit. Light and delicate nose but really complex. Concentrated, complex on the palate. Bursting acidity and nice finish.

Classic Bousse. Subtle nose. Bright red fruits. Tart, bright fruits. Cherry, raspberry. Good complexity.

2011 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Clos de la Bousse d'Or
Darker fruit than the 2010. Plus, fruit forward. More approachable than the 2010 on this night. Perhaps rest the 2010s and drink these sooner?

Sturdy and well structured. Black fruits on the nose. Dark spices. Terrific concentrated core leading to a long finish. Very solid.

Rustic. Touch green. Bramble, acidity. Bright fruits and menthol. Not bad. Definitely the most rustic of the offerings on this night.

Good quality here. Chambolle character. Darker fruit core of red and blue fruits. Big fruit nose. Acidity and good concentration. Solid.

As with this producer's other Chambolles, these parcels are relatively new to the line-up. A lot of menthol here. Minerality dominates. Good acidity.
