Elegantly styled cab. Aromas/flavors of plum, black cherry, currant, blackberry and violet. Soft, silky tannins that provide a sweet, lingering finish. Drinking great now but should develop even more complexity with a couple more years of age. TOP 5 WOTN.

WOTN. Quite simply the best wine I have ever had from the Lodi area. Big, full wine that is almost ink black in color. Aromas/flavors of blackberry, plum, blueberry, flowers, minerals and spice. Extremely deep and complex, with beautifully integrated tannins that provide a deliciously long finish. Wish more Petite Sirah's were this good. Excellent value @ $22.

TOP 5 WOTN. Beautiful bordeaux blend of Cab. Franc and Merlot. Flavors/aromas of blackberry, licorice, blueberry, mocha, tobacco and spice. Nicely structured tannins add to the depth and complexity. Smooth, lingering finish. This wine is big and elegant at the same time.

Top 5 WOTN. Big, burly syrah with aromas/flavors of wild berry, blackberry, spice, earth and black pepper. Deeply extracted mountain fruit is tamed by the big tannins to provide a well balanced wine. Long, lingering finish

Top 5 WOTN. Aromas/flavors of plum, currant, leather, licorice, spice, mocha and a hint of earth. Big, elegant and plush wine with well integrated tannins, with a hint of cocoa powder on the long finish. Lots of depth and complexity. This wine is drinking well now, even in its youth.

Very similar to 2002. Big, bold good-value mountain cab ($35). The '03 is still very young, but like the '02 picked up a touch of earth, chocolate and lots of deep red fruit on the nose. Big tannins provide a nice balance to the fruit flavors in a very mouth-filling cab. Several years of bottle age will help bring this wine into full balance. Probably a 93 point wine in 2 years.

Well balanced merlot, delivering tons of red/black fruit, integrated tannins, and chocolate on the lingering finish. Very tasty.

Surprisingly good for the price ($10-$12). Aromas/flavors of blueberry, blackberry, black cherry, and flowers. Very rich and fruity with a smooth finish. Unbelievable complexity and balance for the price.

Aromas/flavors of plum, earth, blueberry, black cherry, pipe tobacco, and vanilla. Well balanced with ripe tannins. Long, lingering finish. Excellent cab from Lodi area. Keep an eye out for this winery as they are producing very good red wines from this value priced region.

Simple, straigtforward value priced merlot. Lots of fruit and a hint of chocolate on the finish.

Very perfumed nose. Aromas of flowers, incense, cherry, earth. A little on the light side for my tastes. Good acidity to make this a good food wine. Not as complex as I would have hoped for.

Good Value $10 Napa Cab. Winemakers Bob Pepi and Brian Mox start with ripe Napa fruit and deliver a decent tasting cab. Very fruit forward with nice finish. Not overly complex but very drinkable.

Nice aromas of earth, pepper, spice, coffee and chocolate. A little thin on the mid-palate otherwise the wine would have scored much higher. Nice finish.

Surprisingly good value wine. Field blend that delivers lots of fruit, a touch of complexity and a nice finish. Great everyday red with pasta, pizza, ribs or burgers. Excellent value.

Big bright fruit on the nose and mouth. Tropical fruits of mango, pineapple, and orange. Nice complexity for the price. Nice lingering finish. Great value.

A bit disappointing. Nice black fruit on the nose but also a green herbal note that detracts from the aroma. In the mouth the wine finishes a little on the bitter side. Prior vintages have been much better.

Clean and crisp lighter styled Sav. Blanc. Aromas/flavors of melon, minerals and passion fruit. Nice backbone of acidity and crisp finish.

Simple and tasty chard. Very good value. Aromas/flavors of pineapple, pear, and apple, with a hint of spice. Very ripe in the mouth, not very complex but enjoyable to drink for the price.

Aromas/flavors of apple, pear, peach, vanilla and a hint of flowers. Nice buttery finish, but not overdone. Decent value.
