Introduction
A great dinner at this new restaurant in Sweden's second city, Göteborg. Magnificent view over the city from the 23th floor where this stylish restaurant is situated.
The menu consisted of the following items (my notes are few and hardly legible):
- numerous appetizers
- smoked mackerel with chive as sauce or juice
- carrot, beetroot and various other vegetables
- a kind of bread baked on a hot stone at the table (accompanied by beer: Poppel's American pale ale)
- white asparagus with a kind of shrimp
- turbot and chanterelles
- sweetbreads and a farce
- ... first dessert ('yellow cream' says my notes?) accompanied by Prunotto moscato d'Asti 2013
- strawberries as puré, soup and crisp
Surely, this meal deserved at least one star. I especially liked the emphasis on vegetables and the fact that most of the wines were white.
