In the 18 months since my last tasting note, this wine has shed some of its taut minerality and now shows a more mature, silky and gentle face but remains completely fresh and youthful.
White
2011 Château Ollieux Romanis Corbières Blanc Cuvée Prestige

A blend of 50% Roussanne and 50% Marsanne, vinified and aged in new oak for 12 months. A creamy and spicy wine, with the requisite freshness to buffer the weight of ripe, even tropical fruit; the oak has integrated well with some two years in bottle and the wine possesses clean flavours and very good length. Powerful but not overdone; a versatile food wine.

Lovely varietal typicity, rich fruit (rhubarb, tropical fruits), honey, distinct note of sweetness but with acidity to match, intense but light on its feet, nice complexity, fully mature.
Red
2010 Bertani Secco-Bertani

Rondinella and Corvina Veronese, refermented on the lees of the Recioto and the Amarone and aged in oak and cherry wood. An elegantly styled Ripasso, without the overbearing balsamic notes and high alcohol content of many others. Ripe cherry fruit, autumnal notes, pepper; gentle and juicy palate, suave tannins, medium weight, lovely balance with just a little bit of added structure from the ripasso; good length.
White - Sweet/Dessert
1976 Weingut Schuster-Weißenborn Ungsteiner Osterberg Huxelrebe Trockenbeerenauslese

Very similar to my previous note; perhaps a little more Firne and a little less floral.
