Introduction

Really nice relaxing date night with my wife at Acqua. Cuisine was phenomenal as is typical there.

Flight 1 (2 notes)

White

Nose: Fresh, mineraly with saline attributes. Palate: Bright high toned acids balanced by appropriate fruit levels and flavors of pineapple and apple. Super clean finish. Very, very nice Gruner. 90+ points.

1 hour double decant (mag decanter). Nose: Unreal nose with aromas of earth, violets, sandalwood, and traces of forest floor. Very compelling! Palate: Still big tannins even after nearly 11 years of age. Savory flavors of black fruits, assorted spices, plums, and a 45-60 second finish. Just a fantastic bottle! My last bottle will sit another couple years at least.
