Medium sweetness, lacks acidity to offset the sweetness. Honey, citrus flavors.

Brandy flavor is heavy. Sweetness is balanced by acidity. Tawny style, oak flavor comes through. Alcohol is obvious.
White - Fortified
N.V. José Maria da Fonseca Moscatel de Setúbal Trilogia Portugal, Península de Setúbal, Moscatel de Setúbal

I am not sure if the production of this wine has changed over the past few years but we could not understand the ratings of 96-98 in the tasting notes. This definitely is a very nice sweet wine, but not at that level.

My notes: alcohol heat, brandy flavors overwhelm the fruit and backbone of the wine. Flavors of honey, stone fruit, caramel, oak.
White - Fortified
N.V. José Maria da Fonseca Moscatel de Setúbal Alambre 30 Years Portugal, Península de Setúbal, Moscatel de Setúbal
94 points
Great acidity, very sweet. Honey, stone fruits, oak, caramel, smoke. Delicious. Doris loved this wine
