Introduction
Every participant had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought. All wines were tasted blind, also without knowing when the wine you brought was poured.

Red fruits, spices and grilled meat in the bouquet. Good juice and firm tannin and bitterness. Excellent wine, ready now when decanted or give it a few more years of storage.

Herbs and spices in the mature bouquet. Juicy and pleasant bitterness. Ready now and really beautiful. Will not improve.

Mature in bouquet and color. Elegant. Soft herbs and spices, tobacco and a little red fruits. Silky soft tannin, elegant and fairly complex. Completely ready and beautiful now. No real hurry, but probably wise to drink it this, or ultimately next year.

Beautiful complex and mature bouquet. Red forest fruits, also strawberries. Lovely and tempting. Medium long finish with ripe bitterness.

Good herbs and spices in the bouquet. Very juicy and good firm tannin. Pleasant oak. Fairly long finish. Great and complex wine with still a good future; 3 - 5 years at least.

Spicy bouquet with also some fruit. In the mouth some glue just after opening. Spiciness, fruit juice and soft tannin and bitterness. Good juice. Ready now, but no hurry.

Tobacco and lovage in the bouquet. A mouth full of wine, but a bit green. Rustic. Firm bitterness. Possibly not in the best drinking stage at the moment. I score it anyway, but it might improve with 3+ years of ageing.

1998 Domaine de la Janasse Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Chaupin

Slightly mature bouquet. Menthol. Elegant. Beautiful mouth feel. Spreads through the whole mouth. Herbs, fruits, milk chocolate and nuts. Soft bitterness and pleasant tannin. Mature, but still enough power for a few years more.

1999 Le Clos du Caillou Châteauneuf-du-Pape Domaine du Caillou Les Quartz

Still a very youthful and spicy bouquet. Also the color is youthful. Dark cherries, leather, red fruits, a lot of firm tannin and bitterness still. Very juicy but also a bit green. This wine is not ready yet. Will improve with 3 - 5 years of ageing. 91+

Beautiful developed bouquet with spices like clove. A mouth full. Very juicy and a firm amount oft soft tannin and bitterness. Long finish. A beautiful and mature wine, but no hurry.

A lot of fruit and concentration. Very juicy. The fruit (e.g. cherries) is almost still very primary. Liquorice. Full bodied with still a lot of powerful tannin. Delicious and complex.
