2001 Morey-Blanc Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Blanc
After 20 minutes of aromas that that ranged from dead to a compost heap, a swan emerged. A lovely, mature Burgundy with charm and depth. It continued to evolve and improve for several hours. Fine performance.

2009 Domaine Drouhin-Laroze Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Au Closeau
Either an off bottle or this is in a dumb phase. Lean, shrill and hollow.

2010 Domaine Marchand-Grillot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru La Perrière
For about an hour, I was amazed at how open this 2010 was. Not just open, it was great. Rich, deep, balanced sweet fruit mixed with some savory spices. Then the window began to close and didn't stop until it was firmly closed.

A very good wine. It feel short of expectations but it might also have been my jet-lagged fatigue.
