Introduction
We all had to bring a wine of the theme. We did not know which wines were brought. All wines were poured fully blind, also not knowing when your own wine was poured.
Flight 1 (1 note)
White - Sparkling
N.V. Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Cuvée Brut
90 points
The first thing to notice are the mild bubbles, but I don’t know how old the bottle is. In the bouquet nutty flavors, brioche some citrus. On the palate the same. A friendly and really pleasant wine with mild, but good acidity and some pleasant slightly oxidized impressions.

Flight 3 (2 notes)

In the bouquet soft white and yellow fruits and some salty minerals. Same impressions on the palate. Good acidity. Nice and refreshing wine.
White
2012 Garofoli Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Podium
88 points
In the bouquet white fruits like apples and melon. On the palate the same, some licorice and a bit fat. Good acidity. Nice wine.
Flight 4 (2 notes)
Red
2006 Arnaldo-Caprai Montefalco Sagrantino Collepiano
89 points
In the bouquet cherries, dark forest fruits, leather and tobacco. On the palate dark forest fruits, chocolate, leather and laurel, earth, pepper, some sweet licorice, good acidity and bitterness. The tannin is mature, but still has some bite for a few more years. Overall a firm, but not extremely refined wine.
Red
2012 Poggio Le Volpi Lazio Baccarossa
Primary red berries and yoghurt in the bouquet. On the palate creamy red berries, some vanilla, sweetness and ok acidity. The wine was served a bit too warm, so it was hard to score.
