Flight 1 (9 notes)
White
2012 Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey Meursault Les Narvaux
Classic PYCM nose of butter oak and white flower. Layered on the palate with finish that goes on and on. Lovely.
Red
1985 Joseph Drouhin Morey St. Denis
Fresh soya with blueberry and tea. Great acid still with lovely finish
Red
2002 Domaine Fourrier Gevrey-Chambertin Vieille Vigne
From a 375. Sweet red fruits with hint of tea, juicy with nice finish. Very enjoyable drink now.
Red
2001 Claude Dugat Gevrey-Chambertin
Great fruits with lovely structure and dry soft tannins. Lingering finish. Well balance wine. Another proof 2001 is great drinking vintage.
Red
1999 Domaine Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Favorites Vieilles Vignes
Tea with hint of fruits. Still very fresh. Consistent on the palate and earthy notes. Lovely.
Red
1999 Domaine René Engel Vosne-Romanée
Rather closed nose with hint of blueberry. dry tannins with lovely freshness. In the awkward stage seemly still shut. Rather disappointing given the experiences i have had with this maker.
Red
2005 Domaine Denis Mortet Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Cinq Terroirs
Sweet ripe blueberry, red fruits, cassis. Very intense on the palate.
Red
2012 Domaine Denis Bachelet Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes
This seems too new world to me due to the amount of oak present. Structure is very good, perhaps needs more time for the oak to integrate.

Lovely red fruits and hint of brett? Juicy on the palate with nice red fruits and rustic.
