This bottle could be summed up with one word: tense.

Extremely linear, focused, and nowhere near as generous as the 09. High acid and searing minerality. hints of shortbread on the nose. Was definitely enjoyable as high acid BdB's go, but this will definitely benefit from more time.
White - Off-dry
1982 weingut st. georg-hof Eitelsbacher Marienholz Riesling Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
Not sure if this wine was flawed. Overwhelmingly petrol, with hints of honey, and a slightly apple cider vinegar aftertaste. Alas.

Pretty sure this was flawed, but the Somm disagreed. I thought given the left bank and Cab-Merlot blend, there wouldn't be as much of those tones + oxidative elements, but alas. Intense, deep ruby. Nose and palate were both green and stemmy from the getgo, which blew off with time, but only somewhat. Didn't seem particularly well integrated either. Just had a hard time with this wine, especially with the giant delmonico cut next to me.
