Skin contact sauvignon blanc. Nice beeswax aromas with apricot, apples, hint of brown sugar and cinammon. Palate had apples, herbs, accented by grapefruit pith with mild tannins on the back end. Always lovely and still going strong. The slight bit of sweetness from brown sugar and cinammon is new and I wonder if this is an evolution as the wine ages.

Love this wine. Flowers, mild herbal notes, and cherries on the nose. Palate follows the aromas with really nice acids and concentration of flavors. Elegant and ethereal mouthfeel with a hint of tannins on the back. Long elegant finish. Very nice.

40% Viognier, 20% Grenache Blanc, 20% Rousanne, 20% Clairette Bourboulenc. Effusive and bright floral aromas tinged with herbs. The viognier aromatics really come out here. Palate had more apple flavors with flowers and spices. Lifted by nice acids and finishes on spicy fruity notes. Becomes a bit flabby as it warms. Nice drink though.

Cool label with a picture of a bull in colored stained glass. Melon de Bourgogne. Native yeast fermentation and aged for 12 months on lees in underground vats, then in barriques on lees for another 12 months. Opened for 2h. Citrus and tart apple aromas with some beeswax, herbs, and hint of honeysuckle. Palate has more mellow apples, minerals, beeswax. Moderate acid and mild tannins with a nice finish. A bit weightier, less fresh with less minerality than his more traditional muscadets - wonder if it's from the barrique aging. Fun to drink and explore, though.

Has that pineau d'aunis aroma - floral, herbal, white pepper, bark and cherries. Palate has tart cherries, followed by some herbs and flowers. Light bodied. Good but not great acids with a bit of a short finish. Enjoyed this but would have been better if the palate matched the nose.

Ripe candied black fruit, herbs and cassis aromas. Palate shows more candied fruit, some herbs and ok acids. But this was really disjointed with a whole lot of oak coming through. Consensus worst bottle of the night. Maybe it would be better on day 2 but didn't improve a whole lot over the several hours we had this open.

95% Malbec (Cot), 5% Tannat. Smoky blackberries, herbs, and bramble aromas. Blackberries with herbs, a bit of earth, and tannins on the palate. Also a bit of tar. Finish is mirrors the palate but in reverse. The finish is hot which is unusual given 12.5% abv. This is probably too young and would be interesting to taste again in another couple of years.
