White - Off-dry
2010 Domaine Netofa Chenin Blanc
N: Minerals, earth, poss SOME "frt"
P: LM body; Some bitterness upon entry which only somewhat resolves by the fairly LONG, ult almost honied finish. CLEARLY past its prime. :( [I suspect this vendor's $9.95 is some sort of close-out.]

White
2016 Barone Fini Pinot Grigio
N: Very slightly closed; Some grass, poss minerals
P: Med, poss LM, body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt balanced by acidity. The finish is fairly LONG, albeit VERY slightly faint, showing some tanginess, though ult with a honied aspect. For now & into '19. *Excellent* QPR @ this vendor's $6.95, which is as competitive as anything showing on wine-searcher in late April 2018.

Red
2014 Columbia Crest Merlot H3
100% Merlot aged approximately 17 mos in 62% older & 38% new oak barrels, both FR & AM; 14.5% ABV, 0.53g/100ml T.A., & 3.75 pH.
N: Slightly closed; Vanilla, berries, poss some spice
P: Med body; Rndish entry with ALMOST swtish oak/frt met by some VERY finely tannic pucker which only somewhat mitigates by the fairly LONG, tangy, bitterswt finish with a hint of spice. NEEDS into early '19, then drinking thru '21, I'd guess. Impressive QPR [for a wine of this aging capacity] @ this vendor's $9.95, which [IF still available] would be the 2nd lowest of wine-searcher's late April 2018 listings. 88 pts WS

Red
2015 Bogle Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon
Grapes from Lodi, Monterey, & Clarksburg; Aged in one-year old AM oak for 12 mos; 3.65 pH, 0.57g/100ml T.A., & 13.5% ABV.
N: RIPE, PERFUMED: berries atop spice?
P: Med, poss MF, body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by an ALMOST swtish, very, VERY finely tannic pucker which SLOWLY transitions into a LONG, distinctly spicy, tangy/swt finish. Could well improve into late Spring/EARLY Fall '19, then drink NICELY through '20. [This vendor's $8.95 is in the upper 10% of a packed, late April 2018 wine-searcher field.]

Red
2015 McManis Family Vineyards Petite Sirah
N: Slightly closed; RIPE berries, poss smoke?
P: Med body; RNDISH entry with ALMOST swtish frt (threshold R.S. almost certain) with very, VERY finely tannic acidity trying to balance. NEEDS until late Spring '18 to see what happens, though the potential is there -- if one discounts the probable swtness. 88 pts & a "Best Buy" from WE @ $12; Bronzes @ '17 S.F. Chronicle Wine Comp & '17 TEXSOM Int'l Wine Awards. [Tasted @ $7.95, this vendor now selling the '16 vintage. However, as of late April 2018 wine-searcher still lists sources in the $10-$14 range.]
