So fresh and focused. Intense, linear and concentrated. This will age very well, but is drinking well in a youthful manner.

White
2015 La Crema Chardonnay Monterey
86 points
Rich an opulent, butterscotch, warm climate, new world chardonnay. Lots of fun, but not overly complex.
White
2012 Mountford Chardonnay Liason
87 points
Excellent chardonnay, in a cool-climate style. Classy fruit, earthy elevage character. Serious wine, especially when tasted after the La Crema 2015 chardonnay!
Red
1998 Artadi Rioja Grandes Añadas
92 points
Dense and young. Fabulous fruit and presence, the slightly monolithic nature of the wines opens beautifully to display chocolatey depth, wonder balance and very much a fruit driven style.
Red
1982 Château Duhart-Milon
91 points
Extraordinarily herbaceous nose, with green bell pepper, green olive, lifted cedar notes, and an intensity of expression that almost felt like a TCA character, such was the power of the lifted herbaceousness. Looking and tasting beautiful. This is not an opulent 82, but it is certainly very complicated, with an incredibly strong personality.
White - Sweet/Dessert
2003 Château Lamothe Guignard
88 points
Golden colour, extremely rich, thick mouth feel, botrytis, slightly cloying finish. Fat personality, with plenty of creme brûlée character. Drinking well in full maturity.
