2015 Domaine du Tunnel (Stéphane Robert) St. Péray Cuvée Prestige France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, St. Péray
92 points
This is such gorgeous wine! Beautifully balance and ripe fruit, with a touch of classy oak handling. Floral and honied nose, with white peach aromas. In the mouth, very modern, with typical Northern Rhône white strings. Suave, supple, ripe, balanced, some of the finest, and most subtle new oak I have experienced. This is a brilliant white Burgundy replacement, in terms of size and class, but convinces more on peachy ripe fruit than it does on mealy complexity. Fabulous stuff!

2013 Elephant Hill Syrah Airavata New Zealand, North Island, Hawke's Bay

Fabulous NZ Syrah! Incredibly dense, lush fruit, black pepper, burnt rubber, very northern Rhone in style and proportion. For all the flesh, there is s granite-like structure underlying the fruit. Just a baby' but this is approachable. A sure bet to improve. 93+++ points

2016 The Boneline Riesling New Zealand, South Island, Canterbury, Waipara
93 points
Intensely fragrant, exotic green mango, alongside citrus lime, wet stone and delicious green ones. Fabulous (and I mean fabulous) palate definition, with a finish that simply does not quit, and an intensity of fruit expression that clearly puts this in the top rank of dry NZ Riesling producers. 93+++ This should improve, but it's great now, in an austere and crisp manner.
