Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity with aromas of citronella, floral violets, fresh red cherries, freshly picked strawberries, thin streak of minerality. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), soft medium tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet baking spices, red licorice, sweet red cherrie, strawberries. Medium+ finish.
Good quality. For fresh young drinking. Nothing too complex here.
Aged 12 months in large (35hl) French oak cask.

Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin garnet rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of earth, iron minerality, sour red cherries, strawberries, slight floral rose. With air, some crunchy crushed sandstone. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14.5%), chewy medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of thin tart strawberries, sour red cherries, rusty iron earth, sweet herbs. Medium+ finish.
Good qaulity Nebbiolo. Rather distinctive, though on the thin side. Drink now and over next 3-4 years max.
Aged 18 months in large (35hl) oak casks.
From San Ponzio vineyard in Monticello d’Alba in Roero.

Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin garnety rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of sweet earth and tar, licorice, ripe red cherries, chalky stones minerality, hints of vanilla cream, sweet nutty caramel with more air. Developing.
on the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol (!4%), chewy high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet dark red cherries, black cherries, licorice, sweet tar earth, chalky stones minerality. Long finish.
Very good quality. Fine and full, with refined elegance. Not as lean as I thought this 2014 would be, though certainly more approachable than expected. Drink now and opver the next 5-6 years as it develops.
Blend of fruit from mainly La Morra mixed with Monforte d'Alba, Barolo, and Serralunga d'Alba communes.
Aged 6 months in used barriques and then large 35hl oak casks.

Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of red ixora flowers with sweet nectar, red cherries, sweet earth. Developing.
On the papalte, dry, high acidity, medium+ alchohol (14%), silky high tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, red plums, balsamic, spices, sweet tea leaves, earth. Very long finish.
Very good quality. Wonderful silky mouth-feel. Balance of flavours. Feels traditional despite the barrique usage. Clams up with more air. Needs time. Give this another 6+ years.
Aged 12 months in barrique, and 24 months in large oak cask.
From the Castelletto cru in the Monforte d'Alba commune.

Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Very thin legs. Some fizzy bubbles.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of honeysuckle, super-sweet red cherries, spiced herbs. Youthful.
On the palate, sweet, high acidity, low alcohol (5%), medium- body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, raspberries, strawberries, honeysuckle. Medium finish.
Acceptable quality. Simple easy drinking Brachetto.
