Red
1964 Château Poujeaux France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Moulis en Médoc
91 points
Deep dark red with a brown edge. Expressive and mature bouquet with good liquorice, vanilla from the oak and still cassis. Full bodied and round and in a perfect maturity stage. Excellent wine but lacking the complexity to be extraordinary.
Red
1973 Château Cantenac Brown France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux
87 points
Exceptional colour for a wine of this vintage and age; dark and red and hardly any brown. Expressive bouquet with cassis and liquorice and good oak. Good tannin. Full bodied and fresh. There is refinement, but the acidity is more like that of the northern Haut Medoc; firm. Impressive wine though for the vintage.
Red
1973 Château Rausan-Ségla France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux
86 points
Smoky oak in the deep and elegant bouquet. No tannin left. Creamy. The acidity is more present than other tastes. Still refined and pleasant drinking, but needs to be drunk now.
