Flight 1 - Whites (3 notes)

White
2017 Domaine Dujac Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Monts-Luisants Blanc France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis 1er Cru
Fantastic cut, apple and pear fruit, and beguiling spiciness. Medium weight and sappy. This may be the best vintage of this I've ever tasted.
White
2017 Domaine Dujac Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Kind of woody and weighty with ripe vintage fruit. I would have confused this for the 2016 if tasted blind. Much preferred the older vintage (as well as the Monts Luisants).
White
2016 Domaine Dujac Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
Again, this confounded my expectations as I found this wine brighter and more typically steely than the 2017, although it has plenty of richness underneath. Excellent.

Flight 2 - Reds (3 notes)

Red
2017 Dujac Fils et Père Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Aux Cras France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
At once, quite elegant for a Nuits AND a potent black fruit, pungent anise and soil-filled finish. Give it at least 3 to 5 years to calm down.
Red
2017 Domaine Dujac Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Aux Combottes France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru
A lovely, delicate wine that is suffused with soil through and through. Of the 3 reds, the one that shows most green, albeit in low and enjoyable amounts. Subtle mixed black and red fruit. In a way, the most impressive for what it is.
Red
2017 Domaine Dujac Clos de la Roche France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Clos de la Roche Grand Cru
A relatively light Clos de la Roche, actually not that much weightier than the Combottes but with more depth. Relatively backward and tannic but not unapproachable. Surely very good with terrific purity, but it does not leap out as a potential all time great for this perenially outstanding cuvée.
