Flight 1 (3 notes)

Red
1978 Château Blaignan France, Bordeaux, Médoc
76 points
Special bouquet with very ripe fruits. On the palate a lot of high and unpleasant acidity. Short finish. Very disappointing.
Red
1976 Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Pauillac
88 points
Dark blood red. Complex creamy bouquet with cassis, sweet liquorice and elegant oak. Soft, but also sticky tannin. Caramel. Full bodied and firm. Needs 1 or 2 more years to show all of its merits.
Red
1982 Château Mazeyres France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol
86 points
Light carmine. Fruity, fairly deep and a bit earthy bouquet. Friendly and round. Still quite young. The tannin is very soft and friendly. Medium and pleasant finish. A real pleasure without much complexity.
