This was quite yummy. The nose had a nice drift of cassis, plums, black cherries and spice, all laced with a bit of sweet spice, cedar and eucalyptus. The palate was at a nice place, with fine tannins and decent acidity laced through a clear, energetic core of cassis and black berries, again with a dash of green eucalyptus herbs and smoky spice. A big 14.5%, but so balanced that you barely noticed it until the wine sets in. Yummy stuff, probably still has its best years ahead of it yet.

Ripe and rather advanced, but this was delicious. The nose was a bit on the ripe side, with wafts of honeyed yellow fruit riding on a bed of butter and cream, and then an underpinning of earth and saline mineral. Attractive. The palate had the richness one would expect of a Les Clos, with sappy notes of sweet lemons and yellow fruit speared through with a lovely spine of stony, saline Chablis minerality. That minerality aside, this felt more like a Côte de Beaune than a Chablis, but otherwise very nice. Not the most complex, but this had plenty of character, with a nice intensity, balance and length to it. Lovely stuff, drinking well now.

Similar notes to a bottle a couple of month back - really good. This was a polished show of blueberries and dark chocolate, earthy herbs and gentle spices, all unfolding from a lovely nose into a plush, velvety palate. Solid stuff, giving length of pleasure now.

This was quite yummy too. The nose was classic Barberesco, with mature notes of red fruit, forest floor, meat, spice and smoky tar. The palate had a nice touch of freshness to it, with nice acidity and a still firm, chewy structure undergirding a dried cherry and hawthorne fruit, all this seasoned with a nice bit of spice and tar drifting into a nicely lengthy finish. Pretty nice, and drinking well now.

Very brief notes from a snatched tasting. A touch riper than I am used to from the terroir, but otherwise a nicely yummy wine, with velvety tannins and soft acidity framing a nice mouthful of blueberries, violet with an earthier, spicier undertone.

A touch advanced and modern I thought, but this was very drinkable young, with gobs of ripe dark cherry fruit seasoned wth bits of earth and spice. Tannins and acidity were both present, but felt rather soft at its age. Altogether a very yummy, attractive wine, but lacking a touch of complexity and character.

A charmingly mature wine - the nose had a nice blush of sweet red cherries, dried berries, forestry earth, meat, and a blush of whole cluster herbs and spice, even a touch of fresh cut flowers. A truly lovely nose. The palate was a couple of steps behind though. Nice and cool, with a fine structure of grippy tannins and really bright, citrusy acidity, but these framed a mouthful of rather disappointingly lean flavours of red berries and cherries, all seasoned with a nice blush of dried earth, tea leaves and some toasty spice. Charming and lively, with a lovely definition and cut to it, but even given the weaker vintage, this drank more like a 1er Cru than a Grand Cru. Fading perhaps. Still very enjoyable, but time to drink up.
