Walnut/caramel in color... no green rim. Seemed a bit primary for a madeira, with dried fruits and caramel as the principal components. A noticeable amout of VA, but not distracting in the least. Delicious, but not showing the complexity of older Madeiras. Dry-ish to medium dry in character. Seemed like a Verdelho.
