Aubert never disappoints! The purity of fruit on Aubert wines is exceptional. Opening wine for our monthly group tasting, this month's featuring Shiraz/Syrah.

Dark fruits, minerals and a touch of asphalt on the nose. Lush silky fruit on the palate. There are some serious tannins hidden underneath the lush fruit on the plate that should make it last many years going forward. Beautiful wine! Group 3/6 (my 3/6).

Some bandaid, dark fruits and spice on the nose. Finish on the palate well-integrated and comes off better than the nose does. Some spice carrying through on the finish as well. Group 5/6 (my 4/6).

Nose of bitter chocolate, dark fruits and some tree bark. Some grainy tannins on the palate. Decent wine overall. Group 4/6 (my 5/6).

Funky nose with some barnyard and dark fruits. On the palate, a puckery sour-ness and disappointing finish that comes up a tad short. It's possible this wine was not stored properly or tainted in some way. Group 6/3 (my 6/6)

Cool dark notes on the nose, along with some clove and a beautiful floral component. Silky smooth palate. Top to bottom this is a great wine. Group 1/6 (my 2/6).

All around great wine. Notes of Game, bacon and dark fruits on the nose. Beautiful silky palate. Overall nothing out of place in the wine and hitting on all cylinders. Group 2/6 (my 1/6).
