Flight 1 - The Main Event (8 notes)

White
2017 Domaine Leflaive Pouilly-Fuissé La Chaneau France, Burgundy, Mâconnais, Pouilly-Fuissé
90 points
At a great place now. Orchard fruit throughout with a saline, minerally character and good volume that could easily be mistake for a bright, young 1er Cru.
White
2017 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
92 points
Rich, warm, and balanced, mostly showing orchard fruit with some peach. Good volume and weight, just not nearly demonstrating the depth or concentration of Pucelles 2014 in the next glass.
White
2014 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
94 points
Outright excellent now with further upside potential. Floral and spiced with lots of orchard fruit everywhere, plus citrus and peach hints coming and going. All with great Grand Cru-like concentration, so layered and complex with more to come.
White
1988 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
90 points
Refurbished bottles directly from the Domaine. Fully mature with earthy, mushroomy, truffly character in front of lingering orchard fruit. Great with the matsutake dish.

2001 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
91 points
Refurbished bottles directly from the Domaine. Floral, nutty, and surprisngly tropical for the vintage. Good depth and volume, and surprisingly bright.
White
1999 Domaine Leflaive Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
95 points
Refurbished bottles from the Domaine. Absolutely enchanting with so much ripe apple and peach with a fleshy, meaty, unctuous feel to it. Clearly maturing, but that just adds another layer here. Maybe better a few years back, but this is wine that commands your attention.
White
2004 Domaine Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru
93 points
Refurbished magnum from the Domaine. Lean and bright with a slightly herbal note, also a bit of lemon. Also maturing, but the density and structure are keeping this bright enough.
White
1993 Domaine Leflaive Chevalier-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
92 points
Refurbished bottles from the Domaine. Lots here, fully mature, very fun and balanced, just slightly lacking the depth I recall from this wine when younger and fresher.

Flight 2 - A Few Bonus Bottles (2 notes)

Red
2016 Domaine G. Roumier / Christophe Roumier Bonnes Mares France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Bonnes Mares Grand Cru
96 points
Late night pop-and-pour, wow this is spectacular. Black and red berries everywhere with muscular power and enticing spice. So much already coming through, even with so little air, this will be amazingly complex and layered, 96-97 point potential.

Late night pop-and-pour, this has a completely enchanting aromatic start with so much Asian five spice with bold red cherry and berry. Flavors match up, but there is so much firm structure in the foreground right now, making me think this needs a decade+ in the cellar, but with brilliant potential.
