Bright, nutty, funky a bit, citrus notes (warmer than ideal serving temperature), quince, grapefruit peel, yeast notes. Palate a touch aggressive (I’m guessing due to serving temp), tight structure, same flavor profile, high acidity, medium body, medium finish

White
2016 Kühling-Gillot Nierstein Riesling Trocken Germany, Rheinhessen
Brought to drink at Oinoscent during service.
Treasure collection 12/2022
The wine shows high intensity, fragrant and powerful, showing citrus notes, tropical notes, flinty, tight but expansive
In the palate, the wine shows tight texture, high acidity, very fresh, citrus, quince, full body, utterly dry, long finish
Still quite fresh, with depth and complexity, nice. Excellent value
Red
2008 La Grande Colline Cuvée G France, Vin de Table Français
Brought to drink at Oinoscent during service
Flash decanted
The wine shows brick red – fully developed color
The wine seems over the top and far away, it offers some nice aromas of floral notes and (mainly dried) cherries, earthy, feels fully developed and gone downhill, gamey, barnyard notes.
Palate is thin, red fruits, medium acidity, low but angular tannins, short-ish finish.
From a “line” on the side of the cork, I think the wine was not properly closed/sealed and oxygen passed through, shame it felt that it would be fun to drink
