Rosé - Sparkling
2021 Cullen Wines Rose Moon Pet Nat Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
91 points
Pale lemon, bright, with rich and welling beads. Intense white floral and yeasty aromas, as well as underripe lemons and lemon zest. Medium bodied with mostly peach and apricot flavours, as well as some florals and lemon zest, and a little beer-yeast. Straightforward, but does persist a little
White
2020 Cullen Wines Dancing in the Sun Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
90 points
Medium straw with a slight goldish hue, and starbright. Slight rosy floral aromas, as well as peach, lemons, and a hint of passionfruit. Very slight residual sugar on the palate, whilst has a clear distinct ripeness of the apricot fruits, gooseberry, guava, cut grass, and quite some weight. Straightforward, but some persistence
White
2021 Cullen Wines Amber Wine Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
90 points
Medium amber gold, a rich gold hue, and starbright. A very clean, ripe peach and apricot led nose, with some cedar and mollasses and fresh chives and fennel. Somewhat similar characters on the palate which I felt was somewhat reductive, yet a good amount of freshness and mouthwatering acids, and a very slight hint of tannins that seem intertwined with the cedar flavours. Medium length, and somewhat straightforward
Red
2021 Cullen Wines Mangan East Block Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
90 points
Deep purple with violet hue. Nose that started off as somewhat meek, but then starts to show violet florals, liquorice spices, and a bit of cassis. Full bodied, with bright acids, and quite a tannic bite, then dark florals, slight brine, underripe blackberry, cherry, and a bit of dark leaves and liquorice. Somewhat straightforward, and medium length
Red
2022 Cullen Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
91 points
Deep ruby core with a violet hue. Ripe blackberry and cassis aromas, bit of plums, as well as rose petals, pepper, and a hint of cola and slight dried meat. Chewy tannins, with quite a bit of weight, and bright acids, as well as intense flavours of blackberry, cassis, plum, and slight jammy and candied feel, then pepper and red florals. Finished pretty long
Red
2021 Cullen Wines Diana Madeline Australia, Western Australia, South West Australia, Margaret River
93 points
Deep purple, with a violet hue. Deep floral and sweetish plum aromas, as well as liquorice, cut grass, black pepper, tea leaves, and slight coffee. Full bodied, with an expansive broad tannin feel, whilst being soft yet bitey, bright acids, and intense blackberry and black cherry flavours, with a slight feel of jammy ripeness at the core and backpalate, the pepper, paprika, and cedar. Very lengthy and complex. Lovely, but extremely young. Look forward to try this a few yesrs later
