Medium yellow, and a slight greenish hue. Aromas of candied lemon, lemon zest, bit of melon skin, and almond. Fleshy and full, whilst acids remain zingy and lively, with lemon candy, slight greenish parsley, cold cream, walnut, and a little hint of spam meatiness. Pretty persistent with the lemons and meat hints coming back, but not at all imposing, and soft. Nice!
Red
2012 Chêne Bleu Abelard France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Vaucluse

Medium purplish ruby with violet hue. Really one captivating nose with roasted fig and blueberry aromas, then strawberry jam, as well as violets, twigs, hay, and a hint of charcuterie. Quite some heft and body, while having mouthwatering acids and great tension from the structure, whilst having ripe strawberry, figs and plums, violets, hibiscus, hay, toasted cashew nuts and walnuts, then a hint of liquorice, and then smoked meats. Very lengthy, and complexity that comes in waves of florals, fruits, toast, and meats. Really one great wine!
