Red
2005 Bodegas Ramon Bilbao Rioja Reserva Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja
90 points
Tempranillo (90%), Graciano (10%)
Color: Red tile, very aged but still with good color intensity, clean, bright, medium-high layer, abundant tear and very slow fall that does not stain.
Nose: Medium intensity. Clean and frank. Fresh aromas of ripe red fruit, nuts (fresh almond), floral aromas (violets) and balsamic nuances. All of them combined with aromas of aging: bakery, cookie, spices, aroma of white chocolate, liqueur candy and also of aging in bottle, aroma of clean leather and complexity.
Palate: Intense. Good acidity (medium-high), round tannins. Balanced alcohol. Long.
Overall: A complex and elegant wine with a long finish. It is drinking well now, but it will continue to improve with age.

we tasted an eclectic range of mainly Israeli wines, with too much food.
