Domaine. Vines planted in 1908 in Les Argillières, bottled 24 April 2023, 598 bottles produced, 12.5% ABV. Unshowy, layered and deep, profound even, noticeable but refined oak enhances the complexity and provides warmth, everything in perfect harmony, impresses immensely without trying to.
Rosé
2011 R. López de Heredia Rioja Rosado Gran Reserva Viña Tondonia Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja
93 points
A blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Tempranillo and 10% Viura, 48 months in neutral American oak and 48 months in bottle. Orange colour with tawny reflections; clear and fresh style, needs time in the glass to open up, balsamic, candied fruit and spices, dried orange, hints of cold tea and sweet oak on the finish.

2020 Les Horées Beaune Les Prevolles France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune
93 points
From a 0.17 hectare parcel, 50% whole bunch, 12 months in older wood, a moderate 12.5% ABV. Double decanted. Wonderfully fresh and energetic especially for a 2020, very pure (blue) fruit expression, orange zest and violets, well-delineated and relaxed, effortless precision, elegant weight, paper-fine tannins, excellent persistence. Lives up to the hype.

2006 Alois Kracher Zweigelt TBA #1 Nouvelle Vague Austria, Burgenland, Neusiedlersee
93 points
Fermented and matured in new barriques for 14 months, RS 165.3 gr/l, TA 7.9 gr/l, 11.5% ABV. Pale tawny colour, honey, spices, strawberries, hint of tobacco, Alpine herbs, intense and concentrated but fresh and bright rather than overly sweet, mature and stylish.
