White - Sparkling
2014 Marguet Sapience France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
92 points
50% C, 25% M, 25% PN, tirage 25 Jun 2015, disgorged Mar 2023, sulfites 11mg/l, dosage 0g/l. Pronounced aromas but still pretty tight, with very high acid. Needs more time for the acid to resolve and to open up.

Flight 2 (2 notes)

Rosé - Sparkling
N.V. Marguet Champagne Grand Cru Shaman 19 Rosé France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
93 points
77% C, 23% PN, tirage 23 Jul 2020, disgorged Jun 2022, dosage 0 g/l, sulfites 16 mg/l, bottles 18709, beautiful aroma of strawberry, candied, touch of liquorice, good depth and backbone. Touch of cassis on the palate, black currant, good finish and acid with a long finish. Lovely
Rosé - Sparkling
2012 Marguet Champagne Grand Cru Ambonnay Rosé France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru
92 points
57%C, 43% PN, tirage Jul 2013, disgorge May 2017, sulfites 0 mg/l, dosage 0g/l, excellent depth on the aroma and palate, needs probably some decanting to open up the flavours but definitely showing the potential tannins on finish. This is all potential at this moment.

Flight 3 (2 notes)

Red
2006 Thibault Liger-Belair Corton-Les Renardes France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru
94 points
Lovely floral aromas, with secondary notes of tea, earth, touch of heat on the palate with some savoury notes. Drinking beautifully now with excellent primary and tertiary notes.
Red
2006 Domaine Alain Michelot Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Porêts Saint-Georges France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru
92 points
Coming after the Corton GC, this stand up to it with probably a little lesser density, stemmy backed with good pure fruits, touch of heat, tannins still prominent and grippy.
