Introduction

Tasting with the importer just to see how the stuff gets with some bottle age. My three NV bottles were bought before Leclerc Briant had switched to this importer so both W and F were curious.

Flight 1 (4 notes)

White - Sparkling
N.V. Leclerc Briant Champagne Premier Cru Brut Les Crayères France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
92 points
Had aged beautifully. This was the older version with 90% PN and 10% PM. Unusually light in colour for an aged BdN.
White - Sparkling
N.V. Leclerc Briant Champagne Premier Cru Brut Les Chèvres Pierreuses France, Champagne, Champagne Premier Cru
94 points
This one was really good and showed how nice it gets with 5+ years of bottle age
White - Sparkling
N.V. Leclerc Briant Champagne Brut Clos des Champions France, Champagne
85 points
There was something with the smell of the wine. This was unfortunately the weakest of the trio. Extra sad as it is no longer produced.
White - Sparkling
1990 Leclerc Briant Champagne Brut Cuvée Divine France, Champagne
95 points
This is as good as it gets in this price range. Very nutty and....simply delicious.
