deep red smokey oak and intense fruit on the nose. Intense ripe blackberry fruit & cassis, smoke and spice with acidity and ripe tannins giving structure. Not sweet or jammy at all. I wasn't sure I was going to like this - but Wow! what a wine, not over the top for me

Similar to the 2004, but just more of everything, including more pleasure. Such a concentrated, intense wine without any jamminess. Carries the alcohol so well with rich dark fruits, spice and oak. I was amazed - so much better than I expected
