Aromatic, mature berry, tar, raisin, and tomato paste nose. Full, assertive palate with very good flavour replays; long, rich, warming finish.

1/26/24, 3:16 PM - Totally agree, do you not think there may be more Sangiovese and/or Petit Verdot in the blend?

Red
2019 Caymus-Suisun Grand Durif Suisun Valley Petite Sirah
10/18/2022 - Double-A Does not like this wine:
85 points
Inky purple colour. Crushed blackberry, blueberry, milk chocolate, and clay nose. Fruity, saturated palate with sweet-centered, grapey flavours; ripe upfront but tart towards the finish.

1/21/23, 3:32 PM - I am sorry, but petite sirah is probably something you do not taste to often. It is often in your face with fruit and alcohol, but at its best is balanced with acidity which this might be a bottle variance issue, had it with striploin tonight and it was great, have had better petite sirahs at half the price before though.... And we're both in Ontario, but wine is all a preference in the end
