Drank over two days and wow, night and day. On day one, it was woody, astringent, tight, and plainly unpleasant. No fruit and a nose of only oak. If rating, maybe 84. Day two now and the wine is open, ripe, fleshy, a palate full of dark fruits with a finish that lingers. Flowers and herbs emerge on the nose. It doesn't have as many secondary notes as I'd like, but I've never experienced an overnight change in a wine like this. I'll let the next bottle sit a few years.
