Opened 5 hours in advance and decanted 1 hour before drinking and it still tastes a bit young. No need to rush drinking the rest.

Fair balance for that 95 point review. Undrinkable. The pond scum might taste better.

Matt agrees, the previous bottle was definitely corked. Strange that there were no signs of leakage, although the corks on the two bottles were very different, and yet they both were in the same original box. So glad that this bottle is good and looking forward to drinking one per year for the next 9 years.

Slight taste of cork was off-puting. No signs of leakage, however, so maybe something wrong with this bottle that I can't pin down. Great nose, but the taste did not live up to the nose unfortunately. Expected better after having drunk a bottle of 1999 Prieure-Lichine. Need to try another bottle and report back.

Holding up well. Not far from the peak, but could last at least another few years.

Still holding up well. Could keep for at least a couple more years.

Wonderful nose of leather, licorice and wood. Well past it's prime, however, although interesting enough to be drinkable even now. Not drinking it earlier was a mistake.

A very pleasant surprise, as I expected it to be well past the drinking window. Smooth and rich yet complex, it may be approaching it's prime, but with at least a few years left. Left me wishing I had at least another case to share, fully appreciate and monitor its progress. Alas, this was my last bottle.

Top 1/4 of cork still dry, but bottom 1/4 crumbled on opening. Taste surprisingly good. Light, fruity, esp. cherry. Unfortunately deteriorated into brown grape juice in the bottom half of the bottle. Might have been really good 10-15 years ago.
