2011 Campogrande Cinque Terre White Blend
This was interesting. Dark yellow, light orange in color from the 4 days of skin maceration. Slightly hazy. Tart, dry and crisp with some citrus, ruby red grapefruit, apple and pear. Some herbs, almost a chicken broth note and some saline. Different, interesting and enjoyable. A blend of bosco and albarola.

Except in color, a "dark" nebbiolo. Dark chocolate, blackberries, blueberries, (red) rose petals. A bit tannic still, but should shed in a couple of years. A good effort, but outside the top 5 2010 Langhe Nebbiolos.

4/10/14, 1:43 AM - In retrospect, my top 5 has morphed into top 6.... Cantina Mascarello, G Mascarello, Azelia, Cavallotto (the best value), Burlotto, and M Marengo. For the record, I have yet not tasted the 2010 Langhe Nebbiolo by G Conterno.
