I think it was ‘over’. Tasted like port

Continues to show well, and solid QPR in my opinion. Really benefits from a 12+ hour decant. Still plenty of fruit and the decant helps some heat blow off.

I'm never a fan of SBs that have overpowering grapefruit nose and tartness, so this SB hits the spot for me. Great clean fruit with plenty of acidity, not overly so. It is a bit more round in mouthfeel. Anyway, great stuff and always a hit at parties when I pour this.

Consumed over 3 hours. Notes moved from sour cherries to a sappy red fruit silky pleasure. Lovers of California pinots may not enjoy, as this one leans more toward Burgundy. Not a ton of acidity, but balanced for the fruit that it exhibits. Ina good place now, and I suspect it will remain there for a couple of years. I'd have no fear popping another one soon. Really solid wine.

Drank with Helen and Rachel. Served with Kobe NY strip. Decanted 2 1/2 hours. Wine continued to evolve, but left me disappointed. Scoe of 92. Low qpr. Bottle may have leaded however.

Sour cherries showing at first, but after a couple of hours, the fruit sweetened and softened. More acidic than I predicted, so perhaps this wine has a long life ahead, but I was underwhelmed. Opened at Thanksgiving and served with traditional thanksgiving items (turkey, stuff, etc.). Perhaps with a longer time open before consumed it would have been better.

Bottle was over the hill. It was barely drinkable from an experiential perspective, but nothing more.

This wine still shines with about 45 minutes of air.

The nose of dark fruits just jumps form the glass. You can smell if before you even lift the glass. The 15.6ABV never appeared to bother me as I thought it would; it was never hot to me. Dark fruits and a hint of bell pepper at the start. After an hour, the pepper dissipated and the dark fruit turned to red. Another 30 mins after that and it was giving off mocha hints. I would think this is early in the drinking window and may soften over the next couple of years before decline. Loved this wine, can't wait to pop another.

Pleasantly surprised. Upon opening, the cork was dry broke, leading to my lowered expectations. After about 30 mins it came around. Nice red fruits, solid, but not overwhelming acidity, and like another note, the 15.5 ABV does not come through. I've got another half of this to go, and will see if it develops more.

Silky tannins, creamy texture. Cocoa and leather on the nose. Plenty of dark fruit with a full mouth feel.

Decanted about 15 hours before consumption. Plenty of fruit left in this bottle. Little bit of orange peel on top of generous red fruit. The group I poured for loved it; I think I made some new port fans.
