This wine was a treat on some many levels, starting with the person who gave it to me. This wine had a remarkable balance without giving away any of its distinctive notes or muffling its nuances. From its nose of eucalyptus and blackberry, it flowed across the palate showing off a range of blackberry, currant, and dark chocolate, all laced together with a bramble that just made you feel you were drinking this somewhere out in the briar patch on the back of the vineyard.
