Decanted 1hr, drank with prosciutto, olive oil, lasagna, pate, veal, pork belly. Cab fruit is juicy but not overpowering, Sangiovese holds wonderful structure front to back, tannins are medium firm. Acids melded best with the fatty bites, guess that's the 'grip'. 9th bottle of the case, gets better n better as it ages, can't keep my hands off em!

Tight tannins did not loosen after 2 hrs. Flimsy structure. Mostly pepper and tart red fruit; weak on minerality, but I liked the fruit. Would try another year to see real Languedoc body.

Not too dry. Intense citrus. Some lavender and (oddly) blue cheese on the nose. Paired with a homemade Tuscan fish chowder with strawberry romaine salad. Cut the fat of the chowder nicely. Made the citrus that much more pronounced, buy no tartness. Tremendous value for the price.

A bit tannic, came around after an hour. Aroma shows ripe fruit, natch, but some spice and leather. Tasting dark fruit and some cocoa in the middle. After the hour, got a nice velvet finish. Can't wait to revisit in a couple more years.

Decanted 2hrs, hit its stride 1hr later. Dinner of ribeye and grilled mushrooms, baked potato. True Grenache pepper, with red berry of Syrah. A little licorice and iron to my nose. Maybe a bit more pepper than terroir on finish, but the smoother tannins after decanting made this an above average drinker with the marbled ribeye. Not going to match a big Cali cab with the steak, and my Bordeaux needed some time in cellar. But delicious enough. Decant 3 hrs and enjoy a hearty CndP look alike.

Fresh earth, ripe red berry, hint of leather on nose. Smooth tannins after an hour, leaving a nice velvety fruit lusciousness (word ruling?). Cabernet comes through strong. Slow dinner drinker - carpaccio, wild boar ragu pappardelle and a black truffle polenta.

Fantastic value. Peach, grapefruit and bit of green pepper. Wonderful drinker, soft acid. Nose of wet grass. Drank with two Bries. Acid worked well with the salty cream of Jasper Hill Willoughby and oat crisps with dried fruit. Second Brie (ferme jouvence) way too pungent and fungal and needed more salty crisp. Will try another bottle with a grilled white meat. Or fish.

Big Grenache pepper, but ripe red and black fruit came through as it sat. Scents of pepper, fennel, cherry. Im not a grenache fan, so im a bit harsh on Cote du Rhone. Not too shabby this one. Full dark body. Paired nicely with a pot roast with mushroom gravy.

Not a thin Pinot, but nothing distinctive. A one note tart cherry drinker. Didn't soften up much as it sat.

Low acidity so sweeter than most. But not much balance or body. More of a sparkling varietal maybe.

Surprisingly good. Went well after spicy sausage jambalaya. Off-dry sweetness cut the spice and fat well.

Agreed that it's probably one of the best under-$20 California Chards out there. Doesn't express just one or two notes but hits several true chard notes from start to finish. Good nose of apple and citrus, butter front and light oak in middle.
