I agree with LESPAUL. De Ponte was a tremendous find the last time we were in Willamette. Nice and drinkable but I expected a little more given the level of the other offerings.

Took to Bot Luck. Tasted 8 wines this evening. 4 whites 4 reds. Outstanding tasting. The Sequitur was the best or second best of the evening. Pale bright color. Earthy fruity aromas with a long lingering finish. Tasted an Aubert Pinot right after. Loved both but I think my preference would be the Sequitur.

Nice bright violet color. Earthy, fruity on the nose. More red fruit I think. Balanced and well put together. I know they don't have wide distribution, but these wines are worth searching out. De Ponte was the surprise of our recent trip. At each stop we asked the person conducting the tasting where their favorite place was to taste and drink. De Ponte came up time after time. Excellent wine.

Deep garnet in the glass. Earthy fragrant blueberries, blackberries on the nose. Just a hint of tannin, but balanced savory and full bodied. Excellent wine. Bought at the winery and much better than I remembered at the tasting. Wish I had purchased more. Developing a real fascination with the blends coming out of the Central Coast

Nose slightly different than other Oregon Pinots. Let breathe for about 30 minutes. Nice smooth, fruit forward on the palate. Medium long on the finish. Better than I remembered at the winery a few weeks ago. I am surprised by the length age of these Oregon Pinot's. Just did not expect this. Pleasantly surprised and happy. Wish I would have purchased more.

Needs to be decanted. Old tire (Amy thinks sulfur) on the nose upon opening. After a while the smell dissipated. Fruit forward classic Cali cab. Well balanced. Still a fair amount of backbone. Bramble fruit and a savory hint. Nice long finish. Could age a couple more years easily.

Decanted for about an hour. Great aromas Smokey tobacco with lots of fruit. A touch of Sage? Thought this might taste a little hotter (15% ABV) but it did not. Fruit forward smooth and balanced. Medium long on the finish. Excellent example of a RRV Zin.

Decanted for a couple of hours before drinking. A little lighter in color (cool climate cab). Nose of red fruits, dried herbs. Did not taste like 14.5% ABV. Nice and approachable now but would benefit from a few more years in the bottle. Tannins not so pronounced. Wine fell a little short compared to the first Betz Pere we had a few months ago.

Deep dark colors. Black fruit and tobacco on the nose. A hint of smoke and maybe cedar. Lacking fruit on the palate but came through as it sat for a while. Tannins have softened a bit and the wine has much structure. Very nice wine. Should last for a number of years longer.

Starts off with a deep Ruby color. Nice savory notes, plum, dark cherries and a hint of vanilla to round it out. On the palette I get dark cherries, plums and a carryover of savory hints. Tannins are a little softer than expected (14% ABV) but the wine still exhibits nice structure. Approachable now but should cellar longer. Solid offering

Darker ruby color. Nose of black cherries and currants. Earthy undertones. Fruit forward, smooth and well structured. Approachable but might benefit from another year or two in the bottle. Continue to get consistently good zins from Carlisle. This is no different.

Color fading into a brickish hue. Bright fruit and a dusty forest floor nose.
Tannins have mellowed somewhat brining more of a dark cherry flavor. Well balanced. Very nice wine but maybe a little thinner than expected?

A little deeper color than other Granacha. Deep ruby. Moderate nose revealing strawberries and a hint of raspberry. More pronounced herbaceous notes. Still has some tannic structure but overall pretty well balanced. Lingered on the palette for longer than I expected. Nice wine for the price.

A little lighter and brick color. Nose of red fruit, Strawberry raspberry and a bit earthy. Well balanced and a little more elegant than what I expected. Opened up nicely as the evening progressed. Funny how things are never what you expect. I think this is drinking wonderfully right now. Enjoyed with halibut.
