For me the big hit of our 5 bottle Italian wine dinner. Medium body. Earthy and lush dark fruits. So consistent. Just got better and better with every sip.

11/22/13, 1:55 PM - note hard for me to score...awesome++ (thats my score). My top pics for the night were 64 monfo,82 gaja and 96 giacosa in that order. wish i decanted the giacosa less. The 82 gaja was the best older gaja ive tasted up there with the 78 barbaresco sourced from the winery that galloni poured at a dinner at del posto years ago. the 64 monfo was in good shape but not excellent shapre....however even in good shape it was my favorite of the night.
