Pineapple, mango, and red apple fruits drive the nose, with hints of honeysuckle and potpourri. A moderate amount of cinnamon and toast flank the fruit, although all are ultimately overwhelmed by the sheer heat of the wine. Thick in the mouth, with a palate of lime zest, bath soap, and an amalgam of stone fruit. Finishes very, very hot. Clearly needs time to settle down, and begs for a sambal-laiden pad thai.

Peppered beef jerky, raspberry, sulfur, and white pepper on the nose. Luscious mouth feel and immaculate balance. I don't think it will benefit from any further bottle age. Drink up!

Tasted while not nearly sober. More red fruit than I remember, and in general not as appealing. Might have peaked. Take with a shaker-full-of-salt.

Funky and mineral-driven. Could almost be mistaken for a lesser-quality Sancerre in a blind. An off-bottle is a possibility.

Great acid with just enough musk to remind you it's a generic Sancerre.

Weird for Vouvray. Bone dry and high acid. No "Manhattan" on the nose, and not quite a lush as expected. Chuggable.

Nose of blueberries, plum, and restrained clove. Palate follows through with milk chocolate finish. About as big as a domestic Pinot Noir can be and retain balance.

Strawberries, raisin, and crushed cement on the nose. Bittersweet cocoa powder and bramble herbs on the palate with a finish of toffee and espresso. Low acidity, but tannin and alcohol that seem indicative of an ABV higher than the printed 14%. Overall, an interesting and completely weird grenache that gains unexpected complexity after some time in the glass.

Dark fruit and spice. Clove. 2nd bottle consumed and I remember liking the first one considerably more.

Bought at cost through Dukes... what can I say? It's a California Pinot that's been glossed over with enough oak to stave off horrendous imbalance.
White - Off-dry

Pale yellow in color with a slight haze. Nose is subtle, with meyer lemon, red apple, white flowers, and just enough diesel-fuel to remind you that this Reisling has spent some time locked up. Beautiful lemon zest and ripe peach on the palate, vibrant acidity, and orange peels come through the finish just before the wine completely dissipates. The mouthfeel is a little thinner than I would have liked. Green apples come out in droves when the wine is swished around on the palate. Overall, an easy drinking, affordable Mosel Reisling that shows great typicity, but is lacking in complexity.
