Nice champagne with well integrated bubbles and yeasty smell. I’ll try it again in a couple of years

When opened I was not sure what to think. The cork was partially permeated and there was something about the nose that made me think that I had got a flawed bottle. For a 20 year old bottle of wine the tannines was somewhat harsh and the wine didn’t live up to my quite high expectations. But I decided to give it a little time in the decanter. And my, I was really awarded for my patience. Over the next 2 hours the wine transformed into a smooth, delishious nectar with perfectly integrated tannines and wonderful smoothness. This wine turned out to be somewhat of a gem. I drank the wine at a small restaurant in Rome with lambchops. The price at the restaurant was 190 €. After a tough start of the evening it ended perfectly!

This wine is still young but show great potential. The tannines is already smooth and delishious and the fruit is really coming out of the bottle. I really look forward to the next bottle in a year or so
