Perfect at this point in time. And punching well above its weight.

Bought in a second hand store a few years back. Cost was 5$. Storage could have been anything but bottle level was perfect. Cork, however, was really not in good condition. Therefore decanting was unavoidable.

An old lady, but elegant and of very high class. Less full bodied than you would have expected with perfect storage. Balance, complexity and length was all everything you could hope for. Every sip a privilege.

There seem to be very few tasting notes for this wine. Well, we thought it was spectacular. If I could, I would rush out and buy more.

Corked. Seems I am not the only one to whom this happened.

After drinking my last bottle, I can confirm the notes and predictions by Paul S below.

To say I had no expectations of this nearly 10 year old strange mix of Cabernet and Pinot Noir would be spot on. To my pleasant surprise it had held up very well woth lots of fruit and was perfectly pleasant. This is not a complex or particularly elegant wine. But drinkable, enjoyable and - it seems - durable.

The first of my bottles slightly oxidized. Not undrinkable, but also not heavenly. I keep my fingers crossed for the remaining bottles.

A Grand Cru from a great vintage should be spectacular. This was awful.

Both my bottles turned out to be oxidized. I know this is a risk but, frankly, it almost never happens for me.

Found by my girlfriend at an indoor flea market so who knows how the bottle has been stored. Very little fizz but lots of fruit and remarkable complexity. A very interesting glass and it must have been one heck of a champagne at it's peak.

My girlfriend loved this. I thought it was spectacular, well balanced, very complex. It still tasted fresh and could probably have lasted many more years in the cellar. However, I doubt it would improve and so, to anyone who may still have it, open and enjoy in good company.

Both my remaining bottles were oxidised. Big disappointment.

Drank my last bottle yesterday. This was still in perfect shape and utterly enjoyable. There may not be more development but, for those who still own it, also no haste. Note that there will be considerable deposit in the bottle so decant or pour with care.

The last tasting note published for this wine is from 2010 and ended "this wine should age well". I am happy to confirm that prediction. At 11 years old it had developed all the complexity you are looking for in a mature top level Chardonnay without losing the fruit and vibrant acidity that, for me, are hallmarks of Marc Colin's wines. Absolutely brillant and evidence that you should not let the fear of premox run your wine cellar.

I had a very different experience to the tasting note from Jeff Leve. The wine is in a good place right now, quite full bodied, clearly right bank. It will not set the world alight but solid, classic St. Emilion with a few more years in the tank.

- Note that this is a 15% alcohol bottle of wine
- Even at 10 years old the tannins are very pronounced
- After an hour or two in the decanter it is an impressive wine, but not for the faint hearted.

My experience was exactly the same as UTPK reported. I had one previous bottle, maybe a year ago, that was oxidised so expectations were low. But this sample had all the complexity and flavour that you expect in a mature top-tier Puligny-Montrachet. Just not the acidity. Lovely wine.

Pretty, brillant red, medium deep colour. Attractive Pinot nose. Well developed, a little one-dimensional but good for a generic Burgundy. Flavours of red fruits dominate, the length and complexity is good for its standard and vintage. Refreshing acidity, not too tart. The wine is at perfect maturity and very enjoyable. Drink this year or next.
