Opened in the bottle several hours. Transparent and elegant with the right amount of ripeness. Cherry, raspberry, mineral/dried earth, pine, tobacco…. This need serious time in bottle to fatten up but drinkable now.

Vanilla, black fruits, and cigar box all wonderfully integrated. A total aromatic joy! Penetrating flavors with layers upon layers and a finish that goes on and on, this is a total attention grabber. Cedar notes emerge with time and there is an incredible sweetness and persistence to the fruit here but it's seamless without any sense of heaviness. Superb balance. This is what Napa cabernet is all about. Definitely not Bordeaux, yet it has its own unique style and distinctive terroir! This is the third time I've had this wine and it's been consistently outstanding. Previous bottles were scored 96 (6/10/10) and 98 (3/16/13).
