Sour cherry and a hint of plum on the palette. Light to medium bodied and the fruit isn’t really shining as it should. Still enjoyable enough but probably beyond its peak.

An interesting drop. Really nice green and stone fruit flavours and mineral backbone once it warmed up from coming out of the fridge. Some petroleum and almost toasty secondaries.

Olives and spice on the nose and good lashings of dark fruits and crimson tones on the palette. Tannins have really integrated well here but it’s got plenty of backbone left Opened 15 mins after standing upright and the glass has a heavy sedimentsL despite a gentle decant. I’ll remember to sit the last bottle of this upright for a good while before pouring.

Varietal stone fruit notes on the nose with a hint of green pear. Beautifully rounded on the palette, with the oak perfectly balanced and delivering a lovely dry, lingering finish. Packed with flavour and at its peak. I’ll make sure the last bottle I have doesn’t sit around for much longer

Classic hunter notes here. A good vintage with very nice earthen tones already evident and good tannin and length. Good drinking without any time in a decanter. I will leave the remaining two bottles to sit in the cellar for a few more years which will helpfully be rewarded.

It’s lovely and complex. Earthy, leathery tones with hints of smoke and red fruits on the palette. I wish I decanted more than half a bottle for tonight.

Fragrant nose and plenty of crimson tones. Black fruit and a gentle hint of pepper and spice make for a very well balanced medium bodied Shiraz.

Black currant and tar on the nose. Juicy dark fruit flavours, a touch of earth and tobacco on the mid palate. Beautifully full and rounded with the subtle oak tieing it all together. Drinking really well.

Vibrant sweet red fruits on the nose. A very elegant palate of red berries with a lovely fresh tang on the back palate. Drinking beautifully.

The Petit Verdot in this one really sings. Really well put together blend and beautiful balance. The cabenet is dominant but not overpowering.

Spicy white pepper on the nose. Most of the fruit has dissipated leaving fine tannins and a very short finish. We drank on a warm night probably didn't help but its definitely on the way out.

Big, bold and showing classic Barossa tones. Needs a good hour in the decanter to really open up.

Red fruits and a lovely bouquet that goes on and on. Great drinking. Improved on the last bottle a year ago and I reckon it will be better again in another.

Stunning cool climate Shiraz. Elegant and refined with mouthfuls of rich fruit. Why did I not buy a case?

It's all started to come together since the last bottle I had. Silky tannins and great depth but the oak is still a little overdone. Shame I don't have one or two more bottles to see if it blooms in a year or two more.

juicy and succulent dark berries up front and a long velvety finish. The tannins are very fine and this is a really nicely balanced drop.

Full flavoured but a little too leathery for my taste. At its peak if not over it.

Nice well rounded drop. Lots of oak but it's still young and it's not overpowering. Better than I was expecting.

Rich and refined with tannins softening out. The flavours are starting to integrate and will probably come together nicely in two more years.

The first few mouthfuls leave you wondering but then it it evolves into a very long and full flavoured drop. Definitely for those who like a fuller Pinot. Can't wait to see how this evolves as it definitely has the backbone to go a good many years.

Warm toasty tones. Pretty well rounded but not drinking like it's getting any better. Pleasant but not memorable.

It's smoothed out around the edges since my last bottle and developed a lot more complexity. Rich berry flavours with a hint of smoke.

Blackcurrant and berry on the nose. Soft tannins upfront with a very well rounded flavour. Not quite sure where it might go with a few more years in the bottle. Suspect it's at best drinking in the next 18 months.

Well rounded with nice hints of vanilla. The pundits say it's at its peak but I think it may yet improve.

Smooth yet bold. Will probably age another 4-5 years if well kept.
