High neck fill. Dark gold color. Popped and poured. Initially primarily musty nose and muted flavors, but after about 10 minutes in the glass the mustiness blew off and the flavors started coming through. Though still muted, flavors were very pleasant and enjoyable. Overall a lovely aged white.

High fill, good color. Popped and poured and the wine was still vibrant and fresh. Flavors were a tad muted but easily held on for the hour+ it took to finish the bottle. none of the tobacco, shoe leather etc you might get with a 45 plus year old Bordeaux. Delightful with aging still possible.

From Magnum. Muted bubbles, light amber color, great mouthfeel. Delicate fruit and muted caramel flavors. Lots of life still.

Muted nose and fading color in the glass. Nice but fading flavors of leather, dried fruits and maybe toffee on the palate with a short finish. It's not dead yet, but doesn't have much more to give and certainly won't benefit from additional time in the cellar.

Delicious! A lovely wine with perfectly balanced acidity, complex flavors of peach and other light fruit, minerals and muted floral underpinnings.

Popped and poured. A bit austere, but still fresh and lively after 65 years. A lovely aged Rioja with hints of cherry, spice and light floral undertones. Didn't open much in the glass but didn't fade either. Another decade of life at least.

50th birthday celebration with all 5 first growths. Wine of the night. Lush, silky, nice finish, beautiful balance.

Leather, cedar, almost smoky. Very nice drinking, with some life still left.

Popped and poured. Nice ruby colour. Nice nose, tannins mellowing, but still evident. Initially acidic, almost Pinot like. Mellowed as the evening progressed, but still could use some time in the celler.
